1st Annual Fundraiser

The Laura Neuman Foundation was officially launched on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at our 1st annual fundraiser. The event took place at Port Discovery in downtown Baltimore with a crowd of supporters, a live band, and delicious food provided by The Classic Catering People.

LNF's honored guest and speaker was Debbie Smith, a Maryland resident and rape victim who has advocated for victims' rights and introduced the federal Debbie Smith bill. The Foundation welcomed the opportunity to show support for this legislation (currently pending in Congress) and to thank Debbie for her exemplary advocacy.

In addition, the event allowed Laura speak about the history and mission of the Laura Neuman Foundation and to generate an enthusiastic level of commitment to its cause from many new and continued supporters.
